How did I end up with all this stuff?

I’m sure your vape collection looks something like this. If not, just read this post again in six months! How did my desire to quit smoking cigarettes lead to my current collection of vape paraphernalia?

It all started simple enough. An E-GO 500mAh battery and the standard plastic cartomizer filled with some free House Juice at 18mg nicotine. I began using my pen like it contained the last sources of oxygen. One successful smoke free week into my new endeavor, I awoke and noticed that my battery took no charge overnight.

Two things that I must have in the morning are caffeine and nicotine. Caffeine, check. Nicotine…nicotine…NICOTINE!!!!  I had no cigarettes, no charger, and a huge headache. This situation lead me back to my local vape shop for an upgraded battery. I chose a Vamo variable voltage/wattage Advanced Personal Vaporizor (APV) and upgraded my tank to an AeroTank by Kanger because my original showed it’s lack of quality.

My choice of the Vamo APV required an additional purchase of two rechargeable 18350 batteries and a battery charger.  I noticed an immediate difference in the flavor of the juice and I was blowing bigger clouds. As a former two decades long smoker, the bigger hit gave me the satisfaction other quit smoking techniques lacked.  All was well.  I ended up having a great day!

Ten days passed when my AeroTank began to spew e-liquid down my throat.  A new atomizer was the solution at a cost per unit of $5.  Instead, I left the store as the proud owner of an Aspire Nautilus!  Another improvement to my vaping experience.  The gurgling of the AeroTank had been replaced with the smooth and tasty pulls of the Nautilus.  Vaping bliss and a small collection of hardware within a month.

I found a Sweet Tobacco House Blend from my local shop and I must have vaped 500ml of it.  I was good to go until the day I was out with family and ran out of juice!  I googled, yelped, et al. and found a Vape Store in the area I was.  I explained that I enjoyed sweet tobacco flavors and they suggested Space Jam Eclipse.  Premium Juice?

The game had changed.  The flavor of the Premium brand trumped any House Blend I had tried.  I began seeking out all the different sweet tobacco vapes and a small mountain of vape mail became a daily standard.  My research into juices kept pointing me to building coils and RDA’s and flavor, and cloud chasing….  I like clouds.

I bought a Nemesis clone, a Patriot RDA, and built my first coils.

Dripping was undoubtedly The Best delivery system.  This decision led to the purchase of four Sony VTC rechargeable batteries, an IntelliCharger, Kanthal, organic cotton, and of course, new juice.

I have become passionate about my new hobby. Subsequent purchases have included a Stingray Clone, an Authentic Enigma RDA, and my new baby here!

I have updated this setup just a bit.  I replaced the drip tip with a Pyrex tip and it cools the vape down perfectly!  (Another purchase)!  So, I see how I ended up with all of my Vape Stuff and sadly/joyously I expect the search for the Perfect Vape to continue.  What’s that? A Box Mod?

The ZampleBox Reviewed

The ZampleBox is a relatively new service that delivers a variety of e-juices to your home for a monthly fee.  There are two levels that you can choose from.  The Standard or Basic Member and The Gold Member subscription.  The Basic recurring fee is $25/Mo. and the Gold is $50/Mo.  You get twice the amount of juice in the Gold package and coupons you can use to buy your favorites at discount! 

I joined at the Basic level to get my feet wet.  The set up process was simple, I decided if I wanted Tobacco, Menthol, or neither.  Selected my desired nicotine level, and that was it.  Very quick and intuitive process. 

I was still uncertain if I would like Any of the juices they would send my way.  The shipping was fast and my ZampleBox arrived looking like the display on their website.  A nice lime green box that smelled like a candy shop!  Inside the box I received a coupon for Hurricane Vapor and my selection of juices were in a nice fabric bag.  A+ on the presentation and delivery. 

But the true test was will I like any of these juices!  I received 5ml Belgian Simmered Tobacco by Hurricane Vapor, 15ml Futterbinger by Banzai Vapor, 15ml Handlebar by Must Vape, 15ml Mr. Miyagi by Alpha Vape, 30ml Tater by The Standard Vape, and 10ml Baja Breeze by GoodLife Vapor.  So a total of 90ml for $25.  Not bad at all!! 

My favorites so far are the Belgian Simmered, Handlebar, Tater, Futterbinger and Mr. Miyagi.  Baja Breeze has too much PG to drip, but tasted great in my Aspire Nautilus at 3.7V.  Mr. Miyagi is very similar to Handlebar in taste, but the smoothness of Handlebar is superior. 

I am pleased with my decision to join ZampleBox.  I have been able to try flavors I never would have tried and have some new favorites already!  This service receives the e-Cigarrera 5 Star designation.  It is highly recommended.  The ZampleBox is a great deal for any vaper with a wild side.
